衛星細胞在人體肌肉適應過程中扮演著極重要的角色,而運動可提高衛星細胞的活動狀態,其中阻力訓練是研究證實能有效的激活衛星細胞的增生及分化作用。透過訓練或增補劑的應用對衛星細胞數量的改變上都有正面的效益,最終會產生肌肉肥大或肌纖維增生的結果,進而增加肌肉的橫斷面積與肌力表現。未來的延伸研究可針對運動強度對衛星細胞的影響與增補劑增加衛星細胞增生的機制進行深入探討,以提供有關肌肉發展變化的新資訊。
