動作或行爲表現之變異性(variability)常爲動作者及動作指導者所不樂見之情形,然而在非線性動態系統的觀點及研究分析儀器的改進下,近幾年有關動作行爲的研究已不認爲變異性的存在是爲動作執行時的障礙,甚而認爲變異性實則具有功能性的作用。因此,本文由早期動作行爲學對變異性所持觀點具有深切影響的訊息理論(information theory)開始進行論述,並透過相關動作變異性的回顧與實證研究,以作爲對動作變異性之觀念轉變的論證依據。
