瑪卡(Maca)學名Lepidium meyenii,又稱爲秘魯人蔘 (Peruvian ginseng),是秘魯安地斯山脈上高冷十字花科植物,爲近年國際矚目的天然保健食品之一。瑪卡爲純天然的藥用植物,具有豐富的營養成分及多種對人體有益的活性成分,學者們研究證實瑪卡植物在調整內分泌系統、提高生育力、改善性功能、提高抗氧化能力、治療更年期綜合症、舒緩焦慮、增強記憶力及注意力等作用上有所成效。然而,爲加強對此植物之了解,本篇將針對瑪卡植物之成份、藥理功效及食用安全性等進行探討,希得以提供運動教練與運動員們新的參考資訊。
