許多研究證實增強式跳躍訓練有利於增進下肢爆發力的表現,結合其他類型的訓練,會比任何單獨的肌力訓練方法更有效。該運動訓練的相關研究非常多,本文整理先前相關文獻,由增強式跳躍之特性、力量來源和運作原理,進而探討直接影響跳躍表現的下蹲程度、手臂擺動與膝關節角度、起始高度與接觸地面時間以及跳躍強度分級等因素。目前的研究多針對單一形式的跳躍動作,實際應用在訓練的連續且高重複性的跳躍動作會產生不同於單一形式跳躍動作的力學效應,是未來進一步探討的方向。
