學校的運動社團是體育課之外，提供兒童身體活動的良好選擇。而父母是影響兒童運動參與的重要他人，父母的行爲與態度將會影響兒童運動社團參與行爲。本文將由教育部所公告的資料爲出發點，討論體育課與運動社團的現況；進一步根據資料探索國小學童運動社團參與動機；而後運用Eccles的父母社會化模式檢視父母對兒童參與運動社團行爲的影響。Eccles等人提供了一個良好的研究架構，但是由於學校運動社團情境的特殊性，建議未來應以質性的方式重新探索，瞭解其脈絡。
