因材施教的教學模式是老祖先幾千年前留傳下來的智慧結晶，本文對於桌球課程分層遞進教學模式的應用與實施，就是利用因材施教的教學原理，進行理論的分析與實務的分享，並在此基礎上，具體探討桌球課程分層遞進的教學實施策略，率先導出學生興趣、桌球技能及終身學習三者相輔相成的新思路，期能爲其它體育課程的發展，開啟帶動作用，培養學生的運動興趣以及持續維持學習動機，爲日後終身運動的習慣，奠定良好的基礎。
