For improving the problem of stock management that employer followed the fit test procedure of OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration, American) standard for N95 filtering facepiece respirators. The study modified the procedure of OSHA fit test, the procedure required all the subjects to test assigned N95 mask, and monitor the result of fit test and adjust in time. The fit factors of health workers by quantitative fit test (QNFT) using TSI PORTACOUNT Plus (Model 8020, TSI, St. Paul, Minn.) with N95-champion which is OSHA-accepted fit test methods(appendix A to 1910.134: Fit Testing Procedure) and the questionnaires of subjects' attitude and cognition were assessed the feasibility of the modified procedure. The over 90% of the health workers caught the fit between face with mask clearer, increased the confidence of correctly worn the mask, hoped carried to QNFT fit testing by the result of questionnaires. The QNFT fit test in the study had helped the health workers to correctly worn the mask. The change required all the subjects to test assigned N95 mask was not affected the rate of passing QNFT fit test and decreased the wish of the health workers to wear the mask through the health workers' same cognitions testing by 2 procedures. The change monitored the result of fit test and adjust in time had increased the rate of passing QNFT fit test and didn't affected the cognitions of the confidence of correctly worn the mask, and the distinct knowledge of the fit between face and mask. To adjust the procedure of OSHA fit test for N95 filtering facepiece respirators is feasibility.
