This study aims to investigate the health behavior in the banking and financial insurance enterprise's supervisors and employees in Taiwan. Mailed survey with a structured questionnaire was used to collect the data. Thirty-eight supervisors and 1,326 employees from 38 companies were selected as the sample with the stratified random sampling technique. The response rate was 89.5% and 55.7% for supervisors and for employees, respectively. Descriptive analysis and Analysis of Variance (ANOVA), Scheffe's post-hoc test were used to analyze the data.
The results showed that for supervisors and employees, the worst health behavior is exercise, followed by computer use behavior and regular check-up. Also, it was found that (1) Male supervisors' computer use behavior was better than female supervisors. (2) Older supervisors performed better in exercise and computer use than their younger counterparts. (3) Male employees performed better in exercise, computer use and regular check-up than female employees. (4) Older employees performed better in exercise, computer use and regular check-up than their younger counterparts. (5) Younger employee's interpersonal relationship was better than their older colleagues. The researchers also proposed recommendations for practice and future studies.
