英文摘要 |
This study presents the workplace monitoring database from 2005 - 2008 in Taiwan. It was the first investigative result to reveal the complete workplace monitoring measured data. Four steps were taken to establish this database; they are: (1) establishment of workplace environmental monitoring database, (2) data field format designing and inspection, (3) data acquisition and norms, and (4) data management and statistical analysis. A total of 20,794 batch files were uploaded by certified occupational hygiene analysis laboratories, expressed in the number of 655 chemicals and 212,644 measured pieces of data (Jan, 2005 - Jan, 2008 for the sampling date). The results showed that, there was a 1.29% data record (n=2,477) higher than TWA-PEL, and 5459% of data records showed under calibration. The top 10 chemicals can he detectable and above TWA-PEL were: (1) the fourth type particle (nuisance dust)-total dust (n=344), (2) the first type particle (with above 10% SiO2)-inhalable dust (n=28), (3) toluene (n=247), (4) the first type particle (with above 10% SiO2)-total dust (n=230), (5) lead and related non-organic compounds (n=149), (6) ethylene oxide (n=170), (7) N,N-Dimethylformamide (n=139), (8) ethylene glycol monoethyl ether acetate (n=87), (9) the fourth type particle (nuisance dust)-inhalable dust (n=78), (10) formaldehyde (n=66). The results may be helpful to occupational hygienists, academic researchers, and the government to seek more information and exposure profile for building a complete nationwide exposure database, in the future. |
