消防人員勤務輪班工作是引起睡眠品質不良的原因之一。本研究目的在探討影響消防人員睡眠品質之生活型態及健康狀況等相關因子。本研究以採橫斷式設計於2011年3月期間以自填式問卷調查彰化縣消防局全數350名男性消防人員。問卷回收313份，扣除不需輪班9人及填答不完整的問卷後，有效受訪對象240人平均年齡為36歲，匹茲堡睡眠品質量表平均得分為8.6分，72%以上的人有睡眠品質不良的狀況。羅吉斯複迴歸分析顯示疲勞較嚴重、情緒困擾、育有子女及吸菸或喝酒習慣是影響消防人員睡眠品質不良的顯著獨立因子。消防人員睡眠品質的問題值得重視，建議消防機關應提供紓壓管理課程以及增加人力編制，以確保消防人員能保持優良的睡眠品質。

Shift work is a contributing cause of poor sleep quality in firefighters. The objective of the present study was to investigate the effects of lifestyle and health-related factors on the sleep quality of firefighters. In March 2011, a cross-sectional study design was used to survey 350 male firefighters in Changhua County, Taiwan. Of the 313 returned questionnaires, 240 valid questionnaires were used in the analyses after excluding incomplete questionnaires and respondents who did not have to work rotating shifts. The mean age of the respondents was 36 years. The mean score of the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index was 8.6 with 72% of the respondents classified as having poor sleep quality. Results of the multivariate logistic regression analyses revealed that more severe burnout levels, presence of psychological symptoms, having siblings, and smoking or alcohol use were significant and independent risk factors for poor sleep quality. The sleep quality of firefighters is an important issue and good sleep quality should be ensured. Courses on stress management should be provided and sufficient numbers of firefighters should be recruited.
