本文檢視Sabine Fruhstuck在日本自衛隊基地親身歷練的著作，本文正面評價Sabine Fruhstuck對於自衛隊的研究，從多面向討論自衛隊在日本社會中所扮演的角色，女性在自衛隊中如何被認同，日本社會又如何看待這些女性自衛隊員，日本官方如何塑造出日本人民對自衛隊正面的集體記憶。雖然Sabine Fruhstuck作品稍有不足，但在自衛隊社會文化研究與女性主義研究方面足以成為創新典範。

This review examines Sabine Fruhstuck's book, which is mainly based on her personal experiences of in Japan Self-Defense Force (SDF)base, and makes positive remarks on Fruhstuck's discussions of the SDF's role in Japanese society, including how women were accepted by SDF, how Japanese society saw women self-defense forces, and how Japanese officials positively shaped the collective memory of SDF. Fruhstuck's study sets an innovative model of the socio-cultural research on SDF and feminism.
