B型企業是西方社會近年來大力推廣的經營理念,主要目的是透過將企業打造為良性企業,進而對社會產生正向的影響。台灣企業申請B型企業的數量持續向上成長,對於B型企業的認識也越來越健全,然而目前相關的研究仍然相當缺乏,尤其是促使公司朝向B型企業發展的成因與影響,若缺乏相關研究,B型企業推展可能面臨瓶頸,因而促成本研究的產生。本研究的主要目的是探索影響公司朝向B型企業發展的因素。本研究立足於企業家導向與組織變革的觀點,瞭解公司朝向B型企業發展的影響因素。透過多個案研究法的研究設計,蒐集多個案的訪談與次級資料,並進一步分析這些資料,比對每一個案之企業家特質與如何處理申請B型企業的過程和困境所使用的方法,找尋個案企業由創業至今的成長背景和企業家導向、組織變革與認證為B型企業的關聯性,試圖建立一個概念性架構,以回應本研究的問題。研究結果發現,公司的核心價值與B型企業理念的契合度是影響公司朝向B型企業發展的最重要因素。此外,申請B型企業的公司特質具有明顯的前瞻性與創新性,而形成願意嘗試改變的組織態度。在組織變革的過程中,B型企業的檢測標準對於企業而言是減少不確定性與檢視公司體質的一種機制。最後在未來建議方面,我們認為已認證通過的B型企業家之間可以達成串聯,善用具有B型企業的資格創造與其他企業的差異化,同時應堅持且加深B型企業的核心理念,以促成整體事業的持續成長。

英文摘要

B-type Corporation was a promoted idea recent years in western world. The aim of the initiative is creating positive impacts to whole society through changing the nature of businesses. The number of businesses which were certificated as B-type Corporation is increasing. However the researches focusing on B-type corporation is still rare. The lack of related researches, especially the studies aiming to understanding the antecedents, and its impacts of being a B-type corporation, may lead to a limitation to promote the B-type Corporation initiative. Therefore, the aim of this research is to explore the factors influencing a business intention to transfer toward a B-type corporation on a basis of perspective of entrepreneurial orientation and organizational change. The authors used a multi-case design to collect interview data and secondary data, and analyze these data to propose a set of theoretical propositions to echo to the research question. The research found findings. The first, the fit between the core value of a business, and original belief of the B-type Corporation is the critical factor to push a business thinking of being a B-type corporation. The second, proactiveness and innovativeness are the significant characteristics of a business willing to change to be a B-type corporation. In the process of organizational change, the evaluation criteria provided by B-type corp. lab were a useful tool to guide the business to reduce risks of change, and to verify nature of their business. Finally, we suggested that B-type corporations in Taiwan should create and strength their network to leverage their reputation to differentiate from other businesses. That could create an environment to encourage the growth of B-type Corporation.
