觀光人類學已成為觀光研究中,重視理論取向且研究產量豐富的學科,並且也是人類學中發展迅速的次學科。然而,在觀光人類學逐漸被其他學科引用之餘,卻在特定議題與理論建構上出現困境,尤其是研究架構無法回應來自觀光市場的快速變遷。本文針對觀光人類學的學科發展史進行回顧,呈現人類學進入觀光研究時,以族群觀光為主要研究對象,將民族誌觀察轉化成對變遷議題的分析。然而,族群觀光僅是觀光的眾多類型之一,其研究成果與研究架構面對觀光的異質性,除了無法掌握觀光的多元化之外,也無法發展出鉅視以及脈絡化的觀察。因此,本文先回顧族群觀光研究取向的理論分析與貢獻後,再釐清族群觀光研究取向所形成的限制,最後,期待觀光人類學透過對新議題的探索,進而開拓出學科的理論深度。

英文摘要

The article ponders on the dilemma of tourism anthropology, in order to explore new items. At that time anthropologists entered the territory of tourism study focus on ethnic tourism. Anthropologists transit the observation of ethnology and the concern of society-cultural change to the analysis of special items, and accumulate a lot of excellent studies. However, ethnic tourism is just one type of tourism. Face to the heterogeneity of tourism, tourism anthropology could not development the observation of macro-system and contextualize, and the analysis structure could not grasp of multiple pluralities and quick change of tourism. T he article reviews the study of ethnic tourism to discuss the limit of sequel research and expects the theoretical advancement of tourism anthropology by exploring new issues.
