To pursue a dyadic analysis at the subsidiary level, this study tested a theoretical framework pertaining to the resource integration and the future movement of relationship under a unique context (i.e., Taiwan and China). The sample was composed of eighty-nine multinational corporations' manufacturing affiliates in Taiwan. The results showed that firm’s characteristics and environmental characteristics were positively associated with resource integration and future movement of relationship. The resource heterogeneity of subsidiaries in Taiwan was positively associated with the resource integration and the complementary future movement of the relationship. Top management team's social capitals were found to have a significantly correlation with the resource integration. And environmental convenience of subsidiaries in Taiwan was positively associated with the complementary future movement of the relationship. The implications of these findings were also discussed.
