中文摘要

The study was conducted to investigate the impacts of gender difference and cross-cultural exchange experience on Taiwanese students' English learning behavior. Subjects were 260 junior college students, including 114 males and 146 females. They helped to fill out questionnaires dealing with motivation (Gardner, 1985), strategy (Oxford, 1990), and anxiety (Horwitz, Horwitz & Cope, 1986). The results revealed that a correlation among motivation, strategy, and anxiety did exist, and led to different English levels. Furthermore, gender difference and cross-cultural exchange experience made a difference in students' English learning behavior and outcome. Discussions, implications, and suggestions for students, parents, schools, and teachers were provided.
