偏頭痛爲一種使人身體衰弱且須支出昂貴費用的疾病，尤其對於正值事業及各項發展顛峰的患者而言，因著偏頭痛反覆發作及頭痛過程的身心折磨，不但影響其生活品質，更直接的威脅其事業成就。護理人員站在醫療照護的第一線，在具備疾病的成因、治療與預防的知識下，才能於護理過程中配合醫療團隊，提供適時的照護與衛教指導，以期能在偏頭痛的治療及預防上發揮最大的功能，以降低偏頭痛發生的頻率及程度。

Migraine may cause people unable to work and cost significant medical expense as well. Migraine headaches affect both the physical and psychological status for people at the most productive stage of their lives. Therefore, migraine does not only affect the quality of life but also directly threaten their career. Nursing professionals, standing in the first line of medical care, should have adequate knowledge about the causes, prevention, and therapies of the disease in order to work with the medical team to provide adequate care and health education. Nursing professionals could play important role in migraine prevention and treatment in clinical practices.
