本文主要目的在於藉由分析配對經驗資料評估配偶間對政治議題的態度一致性，以瞭解是否存有性別上的落差。使用的資料來源是於2011年6月執行的配對電話調查，共計有354對夫妻參與調查完成訪問。除了評估配偶間在政治態度上的一致性之外，我們進一步以配偶間婚後的互動狀況以及代表婚前社會化影響的相對教育程度與省籍背景等因素來解釋配偶間的政治態度一致性。整體而言，配偶間在政治議題上有一定的一致性。此外，夫妻間討論政治的頻率以及省籍背景對於彼此之間政治態度一致性存有顯著的關連性。本文的結論是配偶間政治態度的一致性同時來自婚前與婚後兩類因素的影響，但應有較多的政治態度一致性是婚前即已存在的。

This article is designed to assess whether husbands and wives have similar political attitudes in Taiwan. A telephone survey was conducted in June 2011, and a nationally representative sample was obtained with 354 pairs of husbands and wives being successfully interviewed. This paired survey data set was then analyzed to examine whether there existed a gender gap with regard to how people respond to survey questions on political issues. Furthermore, the observed similarity between husbands and wives was explained by the couples' marital characteristics that mainly focused on their frequencies and intensity of interactions as well as their ethnic background and educational attainment, which represented the lasting effect of early political socialization. It was found that couples in Taiwan have a certain amount of agreement in regard to their political attitudes. It was also found that ethnic background and discussions about politics between husbands and wives are positively related to spousal similarity in political attitudes. It was therefore concluded that although spousal similarity is shaped by both pre-marital as well as post-marital factors, most of the observed similarity already existed before marriage.
