長庚醫院於2006年4月1日成立一般醫學內科訓練示範中心，執行一般醫學內科訓練計畫，由一般內科資深主治醫師擔任臨床教學師資。示範中心設置專屬病房43床，擴充增設多項軟硬體設備。自2006年4月至2007年9月輪訓示範中心受訓學員共297位，包括內科住院醫師33位，PGY學員42位，實習醫師53位，實習醫學生169位。規劃注重核心能力培養之多元化教學訓練課程，包括病房迴診床邊教學、教學門診（267次）、資深主治醫師教學迴診（237次）、及各式病例討論會、晨會、文獻選讀會、醫療團隊聯合討論會，均獲得學員肯定。依照受訓學員背景不同，採用不同的評量測驗方式與教學回饋，發展以學習者為中心之教學模式，落實以病患為中心之全人照護觀念。院方亦全力支持，成立臨床技能訓練中心、師資培育中心，舉辦多種臨床技能訓練與評量測驗，包括OSCE、Mini-OSCE、Mini-CEX，以及多元化之臨床教學講座與教學工作坊以提升醫師專業知識技能與教學技巧。未來將延續示範中心訓練之宗旨，推廣全院醫學教育，執行高品質之一般醫學訓練。

The General Internal Medicine (GIM) training center at Chang Gung Memorial Hospital (CGMH) was established on April, 1 2006. The center has had 297 trainees from April, 2006 to September, 2007, including 33 internal medicine residents, 42 PGY trainees, 53 interns, and 169 clerks. The GIM training center has diverse teaching courses, including ward rounds and bedside teaching, outpatient department training, and teaching rounds led by experienced attending physicians. It also has other teaching conferences and interdisciplinary combined conferences, based on the development of core competences in the teaching program. The trainees have various backgrounds and were evaluated using several assessment methods and innovative modules, such as the Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE), Mini-OSCE, and Mini-Clinical Evaluation Exercise. The teaching curricula and teachers were also evaluated by trainees through feedback questionnaires. The teaching program of the GIM training center aims to develop a learner-centered teaching module and fulfill the concepts of holistic patient-centered care. With robust support from the hospital, we also cooperated with the Center for Clinical Competence and the Center for Faculty Development in order to improve professionalism, clinical knowledge and skills, and teaching skills in both trainers and trainees. The core values of the program will be distributed throughout CGMH to promote medical education and high quality general medicine training.
