中文摘要 |
Fritz Jahr, a German philosopher's bioethical thinking is new to most of Taiwanese bioethical circle. He was the first scholar in the human history who brought up the thought of a "bio-ethics" in 1926. This article, a personal view is to introduce his thought to the readers of the Journal of Medical Education. The medical ethics that we teach at the medical schools is somehow outdated as the biomedical technology has moved from merely medical science-oriented to a much wider spectrum of bioethical issues. This article will first discuss the theoretical foundation of Fritz Jahr's bioethics and then compare it with the Asian thinking as there are much similarity that I found in my study of his bioethics. Bioethics covers at least three areas, besides biomedical concern, its concern also extended to environmental and social issues. |
