目的：探討地震後倖存者精神疾病盛行率與其生活品質的關係。方法：此為社區篩檢之橫斷面研究。在九二一地震後六個月，選擇某受災村，由精神科醫師以「迷你國際神經精神科會談」訪視十六歲以上居民，同時，由受訓過之訪視員完成基本資料與「簡易生活品質量表－36」評估，共計完成442人。並依精神疾病分成五組（創傷後壓力症候群併有重鬱症，重鬱症，創傷後壓力症候群，其他精神疾病，無精神疾患）進行比較分析。結果：創傷後壓力症候群與重鬱症的盛行率分別為7.9%與9.5%。「簡易生活品質量表－36」的八大層面上，分數顯示由低到高依序為創傷後壓力症候群併有重鬱症、創傷後壓力症候群或重鬱症、罹患其他精神疾病與無精神疾患。結論：罹患創傷後壓力症候群或重鬱症的危險因子為女性、老年人及低教育程度。而具有精神疾患的地震後倖存者比健康者有較差的生活品質。
