目的：國內有關軍陣精神醫學的文獻，多以士兵為主要研究對象。軍士官之精神科研究相對缺乏。本研究目的在於瞭解軍士官因精神疾病辦理除役的臨床特徵和診斷分布。方法：本研究為一回溯性研究，蒐集某國軍醫院近二年來（2000年9月－2002年8月）因精神疾病辦理除役軍士官之病歷資料。分別依人口學、疾病診斷和臨床特徵等項目，計算百分比並加以比較。結果：二年內，共有21位軍官及26位士官符合精神科診斷之病傷除役檢定標準，辦理除役。其中軍官有12人（57.1%）為單極性重鬱症，6人（33.4%）為雙極性精神病憂鬱發作；而士官有18人（69.3%）為單極性重鬱症，2人（7.7%）為雙極性精神病憂鬱發作。憂鬱疾患在二組所佔之百分比例（85.7% vs 76.9%）無統計差異。結論：本研究結果顯示憂鬱疾患為最近二年軍士官因精神疾患辦理除役之主要診斷類別。未來對於此一疾患之防治有需要加強，以維護國軍領導幹部之身心健康。
