專利是一項衡量企業創新績效的熱門指標,不但可提升營運績效也對提升競爭力有正面的影響,本研究針對物流技術進行專利地圖分析,並利用資料包絡法評估物流公司之經營績效。研究發現,物流技術層次近年來不斷提升,物流資訊系統專利已成為技術主流;而引證次數會因國別、IPC類型不同而有差異,但不會因公告延遲而有所不同。在物流公司績效評估方面,整體平均效率值為0.8772,其經濟上意義為在現有產出水準下,平均多使用12.28%的資源。因此為改善專業物流公司的經營效率,必須擴大其規模。而公司經營型態及成立年齡並不會影響績效值,且研發能力及資訊科技的應用對績效有重大影響。

英文摘要

Patents are a well-established indicator used in evaluating innovation performance for a company. Not only can it enhance operation performance but it can also have a positive influence on a firm's competitiveness. This study performs a patent map analysis on logistics techniques and thereafter DEA is adopted in this study to evaluate the operation performances of major logistics companies. Our research shows that logistics patents have been dramatically improved in recent years. Information related patents have become the mainstream of logistics techniques. Our research also shows that patent quality in terms of patent citations varies by nations and IPC types but citation performance remains stable depite the lengthy notice lag. As far as performance assessment for major logistics firms is concerned, we find that 17 third-part logistics firms operates at an efficient level while 12 logitics firms function inefficiently. The overall average efficiency ration is 0.8772. Economically speaking, logistics firms use up an additional 12.28% resource under current model. In order to improve the operation efficiency, third-party logistics providers need to enlarge their business scale. The research further shows that a company's operation scope and its business service history in industry have no significant influence on business performance while its R&D capability and the adoption of IT are positively associated with its business performance.
