國人平均年齡逐步增長,台灣步向高齡化社會,高齡者的健康問題也越發受到重視,而數位體感遊戲能讓高齡者在家就達成運動的目的。但市面上以高齡者為目標族群的運動遊戲相對較少,複雜的介面及不同世代的背景造成的審美差異,都可能讓高齡者望而生卻,此研究希望能引起高齡者開始遊玩數位遊戲的動機,藉由高齡者評選出喜歡的遊戲角色類型,由質性研究方法進行深度訪談法分析並歸納高齡者偏好所選擇使用遊戲角色的特點及原因,得知高齡者注重第一印象,能產生正向意涵及聯想的畫面較容易獲得高齡者的認同,且注重色彩氛圍,喜好活潑繽紛的配色。他們對於幼童般身形的遊戲角色接受度也較高,會使高齡者想起自己的孩子,並認為其溫馨可愛,這方面也應證了他們對於具熟悉感的人事物較容易產生聯想,進而可能產生偏好。本研究依據高齡者生理狀況與心理因素,為高齡者設計屬於這個年齡族群之運動遊戲虛擬角色設計,並對虛擬角色設計外觀歸納出為高齡者設計角色時所需注意之要點,以供未來設計者參考。

英文摘要

The average age of the Taiwanese people is gradually increasing, and the health of the senior Adults' is becoming more and more important in the aging society. Modern technology allows the senior Adults' to be able to exercise at home through digital games, but there are relatively few sports games available in the market that target the senior Adults'. Because of the complicated interface and aesthetic differences caused by different generations, the senior Adults' might be reluctant to adopt the new technology. This study aims to motivate senior adults' to start playing games and to analyze and summarize the characteristics and reasons of senior adults' preferred game characters through in-Depth interviews by qualitative research method, which shows that senior adults pay attention to first impressions, and images that can bring positive meanings and associations are more likely to be recognized by senior adults. In particular, they pay attention to color atmosphere and prefer vibrant colors. Furthermore, they are more accepting of child-like game characters, which remind them of their own children and make them feel warm and lovable. This also confirms that they are more likely to associate with familiar people and things, which may in turn give them a preference. In this study, we designed a sports game virtual character design for seniors based on their biological condition and mental factors, and summarized the important points to note for future designers when creating a virtual character for seniors.
