本研究旨在比較日語及韓語中,對於表示拒絕請求的方法上,所反映的與談話對象的社會距離。本研究在談話構造敘述手段的單位方略架構下得到以下結論:(1)兩種語言皆有以下現象①「拒絕」談話的構成要素包含直接拒絕、言語迴避、說明理由、謝罪、表明否定的理由、提出替代方案等6種單位方略。②從所選擇的單位方略與出現順序中,構成「拒絕」談話時,與對待對方的意識密切相關。(2)日語中對後輩及同輩會「說明理由」,對長輩以「言語迴避」較多;韓語則不論談話對象為何,大多以「說明理由」方式拒絕。(3)在出現順序上,日語對後輩及同輩採「理由先行型」,對長輩則採「言語迴避先行型」;韓語對後輩所採取方式中,「說明理由」「直接拒絕」「言語迴避」的出現頻率相同,對同輩及長輩則採「理由先行型」。(4)例如「直接拒絕」因為包含了「できない」「無理」「だめ」的言語形式,因此拒絕才得以實現。 |
英文摘要 |
This paper compares communication strategies between Japanese and Korean pertaining to request refusals and the reflected social distance. By using tactics, the tool of descriptive discourse structure, I have discovered the following: (1) In both languages, The various tactics which may be found in refusal discourse are ”direct refusal”, ”expression of a negative (contrary) opinion”, ”suggestion of alternatives”, ”apologies”, ”linguistic avoidance” and ”explanation of reasons”. I outlined, based on the choice and order of tactics, the way in which the presence or lack of deference by the speaker to the listener reflects deeply on the construction of the refusal. (2) The choice of tactics: In Japanese: ”explanation of reasons” is the most often used for inferior and compeer, ”linguistic avoidance” is the most often used for senior. ②In Korean: regardless of the other party of the conversation ”explanation of reasons” is the most often used. (3) The order of tactics: ①In Japanese: ”explanation of reasons” is used first for inferior and compeer, ”linguistic avoidance” is used first for senior. ②In Korean: ”explanation of reasons”, ”linguistic avoidance” and ”direct refusal” are used first for inferior. ”explanation of reasons” is used first for compeer and senior. (4) For instance, ”direct refusal” is shown by using the language form like「できない」,「無理」,「だめ」. |
