橢圓機運動器材為一項心肺適能的運動訓練器材,近年來逐漸受到一般家庭以及健身俱樂部的廣泛使用。橢圓機的設計為標榜著符合人體工學,與對下肢關節的低衝擊性,但橢圓機提供了不同強度變化,如轉速、踩踏方向(前、後)、步幅、坡度,並配合手和腳部的運動等,使健身運動者的生理反應變得更加複雜與多樣性。有鑑於此,對於橢圓機運動的不同組合變項,及所產生的不同強度對生理反應之影響,有進一步的整合與探討的必要。因此,本研究試圖探討橢圓機與其他不同運動模式之比較,以及不同橢圓機運動負荷下之生理反應等部分,做相關文獻的整理與研究,並希望藉此提供給健身運動者對於該項運動有初步的認知和訊息。
