本文旨在論述運動訓練對於人體而言是一種額外的負荷與壓力,而人體細胞層面的保護機制能夠透過對面對外來壓力的過程,進而幫助組織器官對於該負荷與壓力形成更進一步的保護與適應效果。而這種保護機制的形成是來自於一群叫做熱休克蛋白的分子群(HSPs)所組成,其最早是在1960年代從果蠅的唾腺細胞裡被發現,爾後透過一連串不同領域的研究與發現,這種蛋白群對於人體組織器官的健康與保護佔有相當重要的角色。更於1990年代後期於運動訓練科學的領域中首次被探討,但是截至目前為止其被探討的篇幅有限,對於運動訓練有什麼樣的影響以及所扮演的角色為何?皆為本文所探討的重點。
