主場優勢向來是運動競賽的焦點，但並非絕對性地顯現於運動表現之中。本文綜合學者對於主場優勢的觀點進行討論，尤其針對群眾支持的影響層面加以探討，認為群眾支持對於主、客隊伍皆有正、負面的影響作用，並伴隨其他中介變項的交互影響，提出運動員及教練在平日訓練以及主、客場情境中的因應方式，提供運動競賽策略之參考。
