臺灣已進入高齡化社會,高齡者因肌肉功能減退,導致跌倒發生率增加,危害健康並增加國家醫療成本,發展合適的肌肉訓練模式為當前重要的目標。近幾年全身性震動訓練(whole-body vibration)做為改善高齡者肌肉生理功能的物理治療介入。使用者站在震動平台上,同時操作重量訓練動作,研究顯示可改善高齡者肌力、及功能性動作的效率,預防跌倒發生。肌肉生理功能的改善機轉與張力性震動神經反射相似,操作時累積伸展-收縮循環的彈性位能,可產生較大的肌力與爆發力,且較傳統阻力訓練更具安全性。目前震動訓練研究使用的振幅及頻率設定仍不一致,需進一步研究探討。
