鯊魚裝在近年來游泳比賽擔任相當重要的角色，許多國際優秀選手穿著鯊魚裝在國際泳壇有優異的表現，包含Michael Fred Phelps、Ian James Thorpe等，但游泳成績的表現到底是選手本身的技術（包含肌力、肌耐力、技巧）或是鯊魚裝的成效，目前是許多專家學者所研究關注的，因此本文旨在介紹鯊魚裝的演進及分析鯊魚裝對游泳表現的相關實證研究與《杜拜憲章》的相關規定，提供未來研究與訓練的方向。
