Smith，Cumming，and Smoll (2008)以成就目標理論為基礎，並以Newton，Duda，and Yin(2000)修訂的「知覺動機氣候運動問卷」(Perceived Motivational Climate in Sport Questionnaire, PMCSQ-2)為架構，發展出「青少年動機氣候量表」(Motivational Climate Scale for Youth Sports, MCSYS)，量表包含精熟與自我二個因素共計12題，量表經探索式因素分析、驗證式因素分析顯示有良好的信效度。本研究旨在介紹Smith et al.的青少年動機氣候量表發展過程及相關理論，提供未來研究之方向。

The study aimed to introduce the developing process and related theories of ”Motivational Climate Scale for Youth Sports.” Smith, Cumming, and Smoll (2008) used achievement goal theory as the base and adopted ”Perceived Motivational Climate in Sport Questionnaire” revised by Newton, Duda, and Yin (2000) as the framework of Motivational Climate Scale for Youth Sports. The scale included two factors (mastery and ego) and had 12 items. The scale showed high validity and reliability through exploratory and confirmatory factor analysis. Additionally, the study provided applications and suggestions for future research.
