睡眠品質對健康的影響,是目前肥胖人口逐漸增加的社會所關注的重要課題。本文目的為探討大學生身體組成、健康體能與睡眠品質之間的關係。以 372 位男性大一學生為研究對象,填寫同意書後進行健康體能檢測與匹茲堡睡眠品質量表,所得資料依據身體質量指數分成體重過輕組 (BMI ≦ 18.5)、標準體重組 (BMI18.5-23.9) 及體重過重組 (BMI ≧ 24) 等三組。結果發現:體重過重組在腹肌耐力、瞬發力與心肺耐力的表現上明顯比其他兩組差 (p < .05);睡眠品質不良(睡眠總分 > 5)組的心肺功能明顯較差 (p < .05);而睡眠效率、睡眠潛伏期及睡眠主觀感受等方面,體重過重組在睡眠時數上達顯著差異 (p < .05)。結論:由本調查可得知睡眠品質與健康體能的表現有關。超重者心肺功能表現上通常較差,沒有好的睡眠恢復,增加運動參與的門檻,造成惡性循環使肥胖發展每況愈下。 |

Poor sleep quality has now becoming an important health problem in the increasingly obese society. This study aimed to investigate the relationships among body compositions, physical fitness and sleep quality in college freshmen. In the study, three-hundred and seventy-two male students completed the human consent form and the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI) questionnaire in conjunction with the physical fitness measurements. All participants were assigned into three groups based on 3 categories of body mass index (BMI): BMI ≦ 18.5, BMI 18.5-23.9 and BMI ≧ 24, respectively. Our results shows that the group of BMI ≧ 24 were more likely to have lower levels of muscular endurance, instantaneous force, and cardiovascular fitness than the other two groups (p<.05). Participants with poor sleep quality had poor physical fitness, especially in cardiovascular fitness (p<.05). Moreover, the overweight group (BMI ≧ 24) had the poorest sleep efficiency, sleep latency and sleep quality, especially in sleep duration (p<.05). Conclusion: this study provides evidence of significant relationship between sleep quality and physical fitness. It appears that overweight individual tends to have poorer sleep quality. Without good recovery in sleep, poor physical fitness will further increase barrier for sports participation and establishes a viscous cycle causing obesity. |
