兒童虐待是一個嚴重的社會問題，需要多重領域的專業人員共同合作才能有效的防範其發生，爲此本文之目的在於綜合兒童虐待方面護理人員應具備的知識與能力，內容將介紹國內外對於兒童虐待之定義、護理人員對兒童虐待問題之認知、態度與行爲，及角色功能，加強護理人員對於兒童虐待之知能，以期許護理人員能積極發現及通報兒童虐待案件，執行其應負之角色功能，如此才能有效推動兒童、青少年虐待防治工作，減緩兒童虐待悲劇一再上演。

Child abuse had long been a serious issue of human society, and the prevention relies on efforts of multi-disciplinary professions, including nursing. Therefore, the purpose of this article is to illustrate the knowledge required by nurses who take part in work on child abuse including definition of child abuse from different countries, understanding of child abuse, and proper attitude towards child abuse. Further more, the enhancement of nurses on child abuse will hopefully strengthen the work of child abuse in different ages including adolescent, eventually prevent this kind of tragedies from re-enacting.
