With the aging population coming an increase in labor costs and a larger global impact of the technology revolution, resulting in countries' attraction to development of robotic technology and production. A robot is an automatically controlled machine that is reprogrammable to execute tasks. The robots have industrial robots and service robots according to the application of territory. Industrial robots are used to perform a single repeated task for the efficiency of productivity in the automated industry. Service robots perform the programmed tasks for individual or professional needs. This article takes some examples to illustrate the application of robots in the healthcare industry, including da Vinci Xi System for surgery, Nano robot, social robot, and Paro Therapeutic Robot, and recommends further explorative research on the use of robots in the future.
