本篇論文目的在回顧國外及臺灣8歲以下幼兒科學及數概念發展的文獻,說明目前研究的結果及研究趨勢,藉以提供建議供研究學者參考。本文選取在具有審查制度的期刊中發表的論文進行回顧整理。綜合各研究結果可知不同年齡的幼兒分別在對生物世界的認識、對物理世界的認識及數量概念的發展情況。研究結果發現不同年齡幼兒有不同的概念發展,且這些發展具有領域特定性的特色。回顧整理各研究後顯露出兩點問題:綜合各研究結果仍無法得知概念隨著年齡而發展的全貌及臺灣幼兒科學及數概念的研究不足。為回應現有問題,本文提出未來研究的改善建議。

This paper reviews published academic studies of young children's development of scientific and numeracy concepts in the domains of biology, motion, space, time, and numeracy. Major findings are summarized. It was found that there are domain-specific effects in children's development. Issues and problems in current research trends are discussed.
