自尊與自我價值的高低可視爲個體心理健康、生活適應及生活滿意度的重要指標,關注大學生對自我價值和能力的肯定儼然爲一重要研究議題。本研究目的在瞭解大學生自尊與自我價值的之現況,採用問卷調查法,以便利取樣方式抽取臺中市七所大專院校之638位大學生(男生262人,女生376人)爲研究對象。研究工具包括「自我價值量表」及「自尊量表」,並以描述性統計、獨立樣本t檢定,以及單因子變異數分析進行資料考驗。研究結果顯示:(1)大學生的自尊與自我價值平均分數均高於3.5分,屬中等偏高程度,顯示大學生對自我的評價趨於積極,正向;(2)男女大學生在自尊與自我價值方面無明顯差異;(3)高低年級大學生在自尊與自我價值方面無明顯差異;(4)技職體系學生與一般大學生在自尊與自我價值方面無明顯差異。本研究根據研究結果進行討論並提出建議,建議學校與家庭除關注學生學業成就外,可協助學生透過各項校園學習或活動獲取成就感,幫助學生建立更高、更正面的自我價值。

英文摘要

The level of self-esteem and self-value can be regarded as the important indicators for an individual psychological health, life adaptation and life satisfaction. The main purpose of this study was to investigate the status of self-esteem and self-value for college students. Questionnaire survey with convenience sampling was conducted. There were 638 students (262 males and 376 females) selected from 7 colleges or universities in Taichung. The Self-value Scale and Self-esteem Scale were used as the research materials. The collected data were analyzed by using the descriptive statistics, t-test, and one-way ANOVA. All findings were summarized as follows: (1)The degree of self-esteem and self-value for college students were above the average. (2)There was no significant difference between males and females in student’s self-esteem and self-value. (3) There was no significant difference among grade levels in student’s self-esteem and self-value. (4) There was no significant difference between university and technical college students in self-esteem and self-value. Based on the findings some discussions and suggestions were conducted and proposed for parents, school education, and future research.
