此論文主要研究的目的有兩個部分。首先，調查台灣學習英文或西班牙文之學生對於文化全球化的社會語言學概念的影響。次要，探討目標語言（第二語言）的程度在學習者全球化看法之影響。本次問卷調查對象爲60位文藻外語學院英文系及西班牙互之系學生。初步結果呈現目標語音的程度的好壞，比起不同外語之學習對於文化全球化的看法，較有影響力。除此之外，學習外國語言可以正面促進對於本身母語社會語言學觀點和文化的傳承。

The purpose of this paper is two-fold. The first is to investigate the impact of learning English or Spanish as a foreign language on Taiwanese learners' sociolinguistic perception toward cultural globalization. The second is to explore the effect of proficiency in target language on the learners' globalization attitudes. Questionnaires were taken by a representative sample of 60 foreign language students recruited from Wenzao Ursuline College Language in Taiwan. Preliminary results revealed a greater impact of the proficiency level on foreign language rather than the effect of foreign language studied on the sociolinguistic attitudes toward cultural globalization. In addition, learning a foreign language promote a positive socio linguistic percept ion toward the student's mother language and their own cultural heritage.
