《去網走》揭載於1910年4月《白樺》創刊號上，是志賀直哉文學生涯重要的處女作。由於本作品經歷了多次改稿，以往的研究多著眼於作品的改稿過程。筆者認為這樣的觀點雖可看出作品轉變的端倪，但卻忽略了作品其內部的層次。本論文從結構分析的角度切入，給予作品不同的解讀。考察結果得知：在本部作品中運用了「交通工具小說」的敘事模式呈現出在火車上的視覺經驗。但不單只是部「交通工具小說」，本作品同時也透過景物事件與人物的心理狀態的垂直交錯，描繪出主角微妙的心理變化。這樣的心理描寫的敘述方式是志賀日後《私小說》作品的主要模式。《去網走》可謂是作者志賀確立新領域的開端作品。

＂To Abashiri＂ lifting contained in the April 1910 ＂Shirakaba＂ on the first issue, is Siganaoya important literary career debut. As the work has undergone many changes draft, previous studies focused on the work process of change is issued. But not just unit ＂Vehicle fiction＂ novels but also through vertical scenery and psychological state of the characters staggered, depicts the protagonist of subtle psychological changes. Such a narrative structure is the main mode of psychological description Shiga future ＂private novel＂ works. ＂To Abashiri＂ can be established author Shiga beginning work in new areas.
