本研究進行回顧台灣過去十年來的重要出版品、研討會、研習會中之專家對公共藝術思潮變遷的多面向觀點,並調查其對近數年作品審美屬性的觀點。本研究之結論共有四項:第一項從歷史文獻中摘取88位專家學者對公共藝術定義的觀點。第二項結論調查7位專家學者對23個公共藝術思潮觀點給分加權。第三項結論調查7位專家學者對有公共地點意義與可及性高的73件之18個公共藝術多元觀點之評分,發現有四成單件作品達50%的「社會認同性」。第四項結論選出7個多人潮的地點共30個作品,實地訪問每件約10位民眾質化意見。研究發現針對作品的社會性方面,即歷史、鄉土意義之肯定與專家結論是相當一致的,而在美化及裝飾方面也有較負面或不解之惑。証明民眾在公共藝術方面的要求也有「公共財」的社會性要求。 |
英文摘要 |
This study looks back on important publications, conferences, seminars, public art review boards and legislation related to the thought of public art during the past decade in Taiwan and surveys the various views and the appreciation of professionals on specific important art works in public places. This study comes to four conclusions. First, from the 88 historical viewpoints of various professionals on the topic of public art. Second, out of the 23 view points of public art thought our 7 professionals evaluated. Third, when judging 73 public art items located in 18 different popular outdoor spaces, over 40 percent of the art works achieved 50% in the area of ”communal identity”. Fourth, by identifying 7 popular locations with 30 different art works, and asking around 10 visitors for each artwork how they felt about each item, We found that in regard to societal impacts, i.e. connection to historical and local heritage, the recognition was the same as that of the professionals, whereas the decorative and beautifying notions were faced with negative sentiment or bewilderment. This proves that the public also expect ”social public good” to be generated from public art. |
