從卦爻辭中之建築園林詞彙及其象徵談中國古典建築文化之意涵

在現代建築教育中，建築設計一直都被視為藝術領域裡重要的一環，而建築文化亦是長年來人們、特別是藝術設計界人士持續關注的議題。本文以《周易》卦爻辭中有關建築、園林之字彙為研究對象，並以「文獻探討法」為主，試著來探析其中之象徵意義，藉由其象徵意義更進一步來推論中國古典建築之精神與意涵，以力求對中國古典建築及其歷史之真切理解。研究結果摘述如下：首先，在《周易》卦爻辭裡有關建築或結構，如建築構件之「棟」、「門」與「牖」、建築平面之「階」、單體建築之「穴」、「廟」、「王庭」與「廬」、非房屋建築之「衢」與「藩」及園林建築之「丘園」等詞彙，除了有其本身之意涵外，其在《周易》卦爻辭中更具有特殊的象徵意義，而這些象徵意義的取象原理與建築本身之功能有相當程度的關聯，亦與中國傳統建築的精神之關係密不可分。再者，雖然在本文中有許多建築結構其圖像皆不曾被應用於當前的設計、藝術創作上，然而設計、藝術創作者或可藉以本文之分析與推論進而創造出新的文化設計語彙。

Architectural design education has been one of the most important parts in the field of Art education update. This study tried to find something valuable for designing aesthetics from the words of architecture and landscape and their symbols in the I-Ching. The symbols are not original principles. The meanings of symbols vary from cultures to cultures. In this study, the ”documentary historical method” was applied to search and analyze the words of architecture and landscape and their symbols from Gua-yao-ci of the I-Ching such as ”Dong”, ”Mang”, ”You”, ”Jie”, ”Xue”, ”Miao”, ”Wang-Tian”, ”Lu”, ”Qu”, ”Fan” and ”Qiu-Yuan”. The results of this study showed that these words might be important roles and have the relations to the architectural culture in China. Besides, the meanings of these symbols may play a significant part for artists and graphic designers to assist themselves in drawing or design, while, currently, this information is not available.
