在滴上染液的布料上,以水爲稀釋溶劑,按設定時間加滴定量的水探討染液濃度、時間因素與圖形間的關聯性,並將其結果與酒精作爲稀釋溶劑之情況作比較,探討2種稀釋溶劑之特性。結果發現水推動染料擴散的能力較酒精強,當染液濃度高時加滴水後產生的圖形線條較加滴酒精來的彎曲。水的溶解力較酒精弱,加滴水後在滴點處並未產生如加滴酒精後的泛白現象。由結果得到控制圖形的大小、輪廓與肌理質感時所需的條件爲(1)染液濃度;(2)溶劑種類;(3)加滴的時機。又作者運用手工與數位科技的結合,將實驗所得圖形,透過電腦輔助設計軟體及數位噴墨印花技術,提出「原始呈現」、「素面背景」、「平面質感」及「立體質感」4種圓點圖形與電腦結合的呈現方法,並實際應用於印染服裝上。

英文摘要

Two dilutants of a fixed amount, water and alcohol, were used in order to understand and compare how they will affect printed fabric design. The diluting agent was dropped onto silk after the dye solutions had been added. The relationship between dye concentrations, the timing of the dilutant application and the motifs were studied. The results show that water has a greater ability to disperse the dye within the fabric. When the concentrations of dye solutions were high, the motif lines that were produced by adding water appeared more curved than the lines produced when alcohol was used. The dissolving ability of alcohol is stronger than that of water. As such, when alcohol was used as the dissolving agent undesirable whitening effects appeared in the fabric. In order to control the sizes, silhouettes and textures of the motifs, three important variables including the dye concentration, the dilutant and time have to be carefully managed when all these agents are added to the fabric. Furthermore, by combining manual manipulations with digital technology, four methods can be proposed for representing dot motifs using experimental motifs, computer aided design and digitalprinting technology. These are ”originality”, ”solid-color background”, ”flat texture” and ”three-dimensional texture”. These motifs have been applied to actual printed garments.
