本研究以判讀效率與滿意度爲評估項目,對於圖像電子副語的複雜度與其使用經驗,所造成之差異關係進行探討,在操作上採二因子實驗設計,其圖像副語之複雜度共分爲「高複雜度」及「低複雜度」兩個等級,使用經驗則分爲「有BBS圖像副語使用經驗」與「無BBS圖像副語使用經驗」兩個類別;本研究經現況調查與問卷檢測,將所得資料以統計檢定,並進行討論分析後,歸納出下述四點結論:(1)在圖像副語的使用現況上,以臉部表情類的次數比例最高,肢體動作類次之,而在複雜度的分群結果中,臉部表情類多被歸爲低複雜度等級,肢體動作類則爲高複雜度等級;(2)從複雜度的觀點來看,低雜度等級的圖像副語擁有較佳且穩定之表現;(3)由使用經驗的角度,除了在輸入便利的滿意度外,其餘圖像副語的評估項目,皆是以有使用經驗者獲得較佳之成績;(4)複雜度與使用經驗問的交互作用,除偷悅回饋與輸入便利的滿意度外,在其餘項目皆呈現顯著之狀態,整體來說,圖像副語的使用評價會隨複雜度等級之降低,以及使用經驗之累積而有所提升。

英文摘要

Based upon two criteria, recognition efficiency and satisfaction, this study investigates the differential relationships occurred in the expressed complexity and the use-experience of electronic paralanguage of pictographs. Experimented using Two-Way ANOVA, the level of graphic complexity of electronic paralanguage of pictographs consists of ”High Complexity” and ”Low Complexity” and the use-experience is classified as ”BBS Electronic Paralanguage of Pictographs” and ”non-BBS Electronic Paralanguage of Pictographs”. Four conclusions were drawn from the statistical analysis of the current states and questionnaire in this study: (1) With the use of paralanguage of pictographs, the type of facial emotion has the highest number of uses and the type of body gesture has the second highest; categorized by complexity, the type of facial emotion is classified as low complexity where the type of body gesture is of high complexity. (2) Based on complexity, the paralanguage of pictographs of low complexity exhibits better performances and stability. (3) Based on use-experience, all evaluated categories of pictographic paralanguage, except for key-in convenience, exhibits better performances when participant is experienced in BBS electronic paralanguage of pictographs. (4) Based on the interaction between complexity and use-experience, except for satisfaction of pleasant feedback and key-in convenience categories, all others display significant status; in general, the performance of paralanguage of pictographs would increase as the level of complexity decrease and the use-experience accumulated.
