本篇草擬課表，討論世界海洋史的教學內容，作者強調海洋史教學應該超越多年來西方大學教授的歐美本位主義。經由介紹不同的區域以及不同文化的海上活動，海洋史教學可以有不同的分析架構。本文也介紹海洋史的重要課題，並推薦讀本。
