The principle of swimming training should not be making up by athlete's score and coach's personal feeling. In fact, analyzing athlete's stroke rate stroke length velocity and efficiency will help detect athlete's individual difference and confirm the correct training direction. This case study is based on the complete process of 8 athlete's the female's 50-m freestyle in East Asian Games Trial. The data of stroke rate stroke length velocity and efficiency for 50-m sections of each athlete were processed by peak performance analysis. The results as following: Comparing the scores which taking up by the 60Hz Video camera with the electrical timer (OMEGA OSM6); is almost up to perfect positive correlation (r=.99, p<.01). Stroke length has positive correlation with velocity (r=.921, p<.0l), stroke rate has negative correlation. The segment score has negative correlation with stroke length(r=-.921) velocity(r=-.962) efficiency(r=-.923) beside stroke rate(r=-.998). Taiwan group using the tactics of increasing stroke rate & decreasing stroke length would decrease the velocity and efficiency. In other words, Olympic group using the tactics of keeping stroke rate and increasing stroke length can increase velocity and efficiency.
