中文摘要 |
This study examined the grade differences in track and field events among Taiwan's 2005 National Sports Meet, China's 10th National Sports Meet and 4(superscript th) South East Asian Games 2005 in Macau. It used mainly description statistics and independent and one-way ANOVA to examine each event's significance level, then compaing it again with Scheffe's method if the number obtains the significance level afterwards. This study obtained findings as follows. First, the numbers for men's field events such as high jump, pole vault, triple jump, shot put, discus and javelin all reached the significance level (p< .01); however, the numbers for long jump and hammer throw were below it. Second, the numbers for men’s track events such as the 100-meter, 400-meter, 1500-meter, 5000-meter, 10000-meter, 110-meter hurdles, 400-meter hurdles, 3000-meter steeplechase, and the 400-meter relay all obtained the significance level (p< .01) as well. The numbers for the 200-meter, 800-meter, 1600-meter relay and decathlon did not reach the significance level. Third, the numbers for women's field events including pole vault, long jump, triple jump, shot put, discus, hammer throw and javelin all came to the significance level (p< .01), while the high jump failed to reach it. Fourth, the numbers for women's track events including 100-meter, 200-meter, 400-meter, 1500-meter, 10000-meter, 400-meter hurdles, the 400-meter relay, the 1600-meter relay and decathlon all achieved the significance level (p< .01). However, 800-meter and 100-meter hurdles were lower than it. The research has concluded that China's 10th National Sports Meet had better grades than the 4th South East Asian Games 2005 in Macau. Although Taiwan's 2005 National Sports Meet was graded better than the 4th South East Asian Games 2005 in Macau in 1500-meter and 10000-meter, all other records from the latter were higher than those of the former. It was widely believed in the past that we had odds-on sprint and hurdle events; however, this research strongly recommends that further systematical developments should be on the middle-distance events, in which metabolism is largely based on the lactic acid system and the aerobics system. |
