Case Report-Covered Cheatham-Platinum Stent for Subatretic Native Aortic Coarctation

一個31歲女性因為蜘蛛膜下腔出血、顱內血管瘤及系統高血壓而診斷出接近閉鎖的主動脈弓狹窄。在使用5 mm的氣球先行擴張之後，接著將預先鑲嵌在14 mm的BIB氣球上的覆膜區特漢白金支架置放在病灶上。病患於術中狀況良好，壓力差由術前75降至術後11 mmHg。在這一類病患，除了傳統手術矯正外，覆膜區特漢白金支架置是一個有效及安全的替代方法。

A 31-year-old woman was incidentally diagnosed with subatresic coarctation of aorta due to subarachnoidal hemorrhage, intracranial aneurysm and systemic hypertension. After predilating the lesion with a 5 mm balloon, a covered Cheatham-Platinum (C-P) stent premounted on a 14 mm BIB balloon was deployed on the lesion. The patient tolerated the procedure well and the systolic pressure gradient decreased from 75 to 11 mmHg. Covered C-P stents seem to be an effective and safe alternative to surgical correction in this kind of patient.
