本文旨在探討願景領導（visionary leadership），首先闡述願景領導的意義，其次說明願景領導者的四個特性，包含：1.有前膽的眼光；2.能綜觀全局；3.有多元智慧與能力；4.與成功的領導者或效能的領導者密不可分（interwoven）。研究者進而提出Sashkin的願景領導三角形理念，Sashkin將願景領導形態分成魅力個人、願景思想家、組織的修補者、願景魅力者、組織建築師、組織計劃者、不健全的經營者、胸懷大志的領導者以及自我實現的領導者等九種，其中以自我實現的領導者最符合願景領導者。最後研究者比較願景領導者與現況領導者的不同特性與行為。
