The promotion of human rights education in school has been a short period of time. Unfortunately, many teachers are not concerned about this subject. They found this concept misty and lack of adequate human rights consciousness; besides, powerless to promote human rights education. Therefore, a frequent source of conflicts among teachers, students, and parents bring us a direct result of these cruel treatment and inhuman acts in our society.
To investigate this phenomenon and issue, this paper intends to draw up the basic concepts of human rights education, analyzing the problems on promoting human rights education in primary and junior high schools then putting forward and implementing the human rights education strategy. The objectives of this research are as follows:
Ⅰ. In the aspect of educational administration: 1. Review and Improve the policy of human rights education.
2. Build up a network interaction platform of human rights education.
3. Draw up human rights education assessment mechanism and project.
Ⅱ. In the aspect of school administration: 1. Build up the ideal school environment of human rights supremacy. 2. Create a favorable content and respect human rights education. 3. Build up the close relationship between parents and school.
Ⅲ. In the aspect of the Teachers Professional Development:
1. Raise the professional standards on human rights education.
2. Strengthen the current events or writing teaching materials.
Ⅳ. In the aspect of curriculum teaching:
1. Enrich the human rights education curriculum framework.
2. Encourage the fulfillment of human rights education.
3. Use various teaching methods to enhance the effectiveness of teaching human rights education.
Wish the school management could handle properly the issues of human rights education.
