近年來,台灣資訊產業在提升國際兢爭力上,儘管已獲得相當不錯的成果,但它同時也面臨著如何有效創新產品價值的困境。而在提升企業兢爭力與創新產品價值上,亳無疑問地,設計必須扮演一個關鍵性的角色。本研究主要是以實証研究方法,探索台灣資訊業廠商的設計策略類型,及探討其對設計績效的影響。研究主要的發現有:1)樣本廠商間對各設計策略屬性的重視度與滿意度存有顯著的差異;2)經集群分析後得到“產品差異化”與“成本專注化”兩種設計策略類型;3)成本專注化廠商在“達成預算率”與“達成進度率”兩項設計績效指標上,有明顯較佳的表現,而產品差異化廠商在“新式樣專利數”指標上,則有明顯較優的表現。這些研究成果將可作為資訊業廠商擬定未來競爭設計策略的參考依據。 |
英文摘要 |
Though Taiwan's information industry has recently much enhanced its competitiveness in the international market, it still faces the challenge of effectiveness in product innovation. Design, undoubtedly, plays a key role in the process of enhancing business competition and value-added product innovation. By means of an empirical approach, this study explores different modes of design strategies adopted by information firms in Taiwan and their effects on design performance. The primary findings of the study can be summarized as follows: 1) there exists a significant gap between the expectation and the satisfaction on each of the design strategic attribute; 2) through a cluster analysis, two types of design strategy are identified–”product differentiated” and ”cost focused”; 3) the ”cost focused” firms tend to perform better on ”budget achievement” and ”schedule achievement”, while the ”product differentiated” firms tend to perform better on ”design patents”. The results of this study would provide some insights for information firms in the application of a competitive design strategy. |
