本研究試圖探討哪些因素會影響大學生上網瀏覽色情資訊。透過橫斷面調查(cross-sectional study)方式，隨機抽取大學通識課程學生進行調查，共回收516份問卷，有效問卷507份。經由簡單迴歸分析發現：（一）男生比女生較可能上網瀏覽色情資訊；（二）高性刺激尋求者較低性刺激尋求者可能上網瀏覽色情資訊；（三）愈依賴網路的受訪者，愈可能在網路上瀏覽色情資訊。此外，在控制其他變項後，多元階層迴歸分析發現，性別對受訪者在網路上瀏覽色情資訊的預測能力最強。本研究建議，性教育人員應特別針對男性宣導網路色情資訊的害處，設計兼具感官效果及提供正確性知識的網頁，以滿足性刺激尋求者對性資訊的需求，並落實性教育正確性與公開化，讓依賴網路的年輕族群可以在網路上尋得正確的性資訊，減低色情資訊的傷害。

This cross-sectional study attempted to clarify factors affecting online pornography material viewing among college students. Of the 516 respondents randomly recruited from 8 universities in four geographic areas, 507 completed the self-administered questionnaire. The simple linear regression analyses showed that (1) males were more likely to view pornography materials on the Internet than their counterparts; (2) compared to low sexual sensation-seekers, high sexual sensation-seekers were more likely to view online pornography materials; and (3) Internet dependents were more likely to engage in online pornography material viewing than others. This study suggests that gender differences, personality traits (e.g., sexual sensation-seeking), and Internet dependency need to be considered by the health communication designers and school health educators who plan to eliminate the negative impact of pornography material viewing on young people's behavior.
