中文摘要 |
The purpose of this study was to investigate the possible use of an accelerated casting technique to cast titanium. Two commercial investments, Rematitan Plus and Tancovest, were used to examine the results of using such accelerated casting techniques expansion setting, thermal expansion and compression strength. We also measured dimensional accuracy and surface roughness of the titanium castings. We found that residual thermal expansion of the investments at the casting temperature ranged between 0.39% and 0.64%, green strengths ranged between 4.4 and 10.3MPa and the fired strengths between 13.8 to 17.6MPa. The dimensional accuracies of castings made with the accelerated casting technique were approximately -0.57%. The surface roughness (Ra) of the castings ranged from 1.91 to 3.10μm. The heating method did not significantly influence the accuracy and the surface roughness of the titanium castings (P>0.05). These results suggest that these commercial investments can be used for the accelerated casting of titanium. |
